Therapy For evaluations for immigration-related matters

Alternative Therapy LLC provides specialized psychological evaluations for immigration-related matters, conducted with clinical rigor, objectivity, and strict adherence to ethical standards. These evaluations are designed to document the psychological, emotional, medical, and functional impact of immigration decisions on individuals and qualifying relatives. They may be used as part of a broader evidentiary record in legal proceedings.

An immigration hardship evaluation (I-601/I-601A) assesses the level of extreme hardship that a qualifying relative would face in cases involving separation or relocation. The evaluation considers emotional and psychological stress, mental health conditions, family dynamics, caregiving responsibilities, financial hardship, and relevant medical or developmental needs. It presents findings in a structured clinical report aligned with immigration standards.

An asylum psychological evaluation documents the effects of persecution, trauma, or violence and assesses symptoms related to post-traumatic stress, anxiety, depression, and similar conditions. It also helps contextualize memory, emotional responses, and behavioral presentation within a trauma-informed framework relevant to asylum, withholding of removal, or Convention Against Torture cases.

A VAWA psychological evaluation assesses the effects of domestic violence, abuse, or coercive control in cases involving self-petitions. The evaluation reviews patterns of abuse, psychological harm, trauma-related symptoms, and the impact on functioning, safety, and well-being, including both obvious and subtle forms of emotional and psychological abuse.

A U Visa psychological evaluation documents the mental health effects of criminal victimization. It reviews trauma-related symptoms, emotional distress, and how the crime affects daily functioning, relationships, and overall well-being.

A cancellation of removal evaluation (EOIR) evaluates hardship under the heightened legal standard of exceptional and extremely unusual hardship. It examines the cumulative psychological, medical, and functional impact of removal on qualifying relatives, including emotional distress, dependency, caregiving responsibilities, and family system disruption, presented in a clinically supported and court-relevant format.

A humanitarian or medical-based evaluation documents mental health conditions, treatment needs, and the risks associated with disruption of care. It evaluates access to treatment, continuity of care, potential for symptom exacerbation, and functional limitations if services are unavailable in the country of origin.

Understanding Anxiety and Depression Therapy Options That Really Work

A rehabilitation or good moral character evaluation assesses past behavior within its psychological and environmental context and evaluates evidence of behavioral change, insight, accountability, and current functioning. It also considers stability, protective factors, and risk of recurrence in forming an objective clinical opinion.

All evaluations are conducted within the scope of professional competence, using established psychological methods and maintaining strict confidentiality. Each assessment is individualized, culturally informed, and prepared in a comprehensive report to assist legal counsel and immigration authorities in understanding the psychological dimensions of the case.
